Solutions Lab is a technology firm based in the Calgary, Alberta area. This policy explains what personal information this website collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We handle personal information in line with Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
- Contact form: your name and email address, plus anything you choose to add, such as your company, project type, budget, timeline and message.
- Email: anything you send us directly at [email protected].
- Technical data: when you visit, our servers and our network provider receive your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. We need this to deliver the site and to block abuse.
Cookies
We don't use advertising or analytics cookies, and we don't track you across other websites.
The site sets one cookie, NEXT_LOCALE, to remember your language for up to a year.
How we use it
- To reply to your inquiry and discuss your project.
- To provide and support the services you engage us for.
- To keep the site secure, and to detect and block attacks.
- To meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations.
We don't sell, rent or trade personal information, and we don't add you to marketing lists.
Service providers
We use a small number of providers to run this site. They process information only on our behalf and only for the purposes below.
- Cloudflare delivers the website and protects it from attacks. All traffic to the site passes through it, including your IP address.
- Resend delivers contact form messages to our inbox.
- Our own servers host the website and keep short-lived security logs.
Some providers are located in, or store data in, the United States or other countries, so your information may be processed outside Canada and be subject to the laws of those countries.
How we protect it
We protect information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and automated blocking of abusive traffic. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to keep your information safe.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry emails for as long as we need them to respond and, if we work together, for the length of our relationship and any period required for legal or tax purposes. Server and security logs are kept for a short time and then deleted automatically.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we aren't required to keep it. You can also withdraw your consent to our using it, subject to legal or contractual limits. Email us at [email protected] and we'll respond within 30 days.
If you aren't satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
This website is meant for businesses and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
